Drs. Todd Alderfer and Jeff Wilkins co-host a fast paced and diverse conversation about issues in health-care and beyond. Guests, information and humor are all part of the mix during The Beat Goes On, Saturday mornings, 8:10 to 9 on AM 1440 WNPV.

H. Jeffrey Wilkins, MD

Jeff brings many different experiences to the "Beat Goes On." Jeff is a long time resident of the Souderton area where he served the community as a family physician for ten years. In his practice, he saw everyone from newborn babies to 100+ year olds. His commitment to maintaining excellent local practices was evidenced by his co-founding of TriValley Primary Care. While continuing his practice in Souderton, he also served as CEO of TriValley for five years.

Jeff is currently the Senior Vice President of Clinical Development of a bio-tech company in Malvern called Ception Therapeutics. He is leading an effort there to study a rare pediatric illness called Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Prior to his work at Ception, Jeff headed up three different units at GlaxoSmithKline. His family medicine training helped him lead a group in inflammation and dermatology. His experience in men's health (as well as a necessary sense of humor) helped him become the global clinic head at the Levitra brand.  And his experience in women's health helped him lead a team that brought a new drug for overactive bladder VESIcare, to market. He also initiated research efforts for a number of other drugs for female disorder like endometriosis and uterine fibroids.

A graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, Jeff came to the this area after graduating Temple University School of Medicine and completing his residency at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown. He is married 18 years to the Donna (his greatest overachievment was coaxing her into marrying him) and has four children: Sam, Eva Eliza and Isaac. He enjoys walking, playing sports and writing. His greatest accomplishment is winning Coach of the Year for the SHYBA girls 9-11 year old league while leading a wonderfully short, slow and young team to 0-15 record. They had energy! He has written three novels: however has yet to be published. His ultimate dream is to become an author.

His rich and diverse experiences in ten years of family medicine and nine years in clinical research bring a unique perspective to health care, health insurance and the pharmaceutical industry. His curiosity and wit have led him to a radio show - a natural progression of his adventures.

J. Todd Alderfer, MD

Todd Alderfer was born and raised in the Bucks-Montco area.
After graduating from Christopher Dock, he completed his undergraduate studies at Ursinus College in nearby Collegeville.
From his medical school training at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania Medical School, he went to Penn State in Hershey to complete his fellowship in cardiology.

Todd has served the local community as a Cardiologist since 1997, working out of the Grand View, Doylestown and Abington Hospitals. In his practice,he is best known for his ability to present complex medical issues to an individual level. Whether it is an explanation about a heart problem or the availability of a particular treatment, Dr. Alderfer has a gift for informing patients in an easily understandable way.

When he is not running long distances, Todd can be found playing or coaching sports, being with his family or debating-just about anything! He is married to Donna (Obviously a different one then Jeff!) and has three wonderful children: Kayla, Tyler and Kaci. It is  his  passion for life, deep local ties, his medical experience and various interests that make a radio show a natural outlet.
