Franconia PD Wins Night Out Award
The Franconia Township Police Department has won a national award for the best National Night Out against Crime program in communities with a population of less than 15,000, and Chief Joe Kozeniewski is pleased.
“This something that, over a period of 13 years, has developed into a really special event that everyone looks forward to.”
He says it’s always held in early august, about two-thousand people attended this year, and many come out every year.
“They come out because it’s the one time during the year that they can get to see all of their old friends from throughout the township. It’s a good time for mingling with the township people and the officials and with all of the members of the community.”
Chief Kozeniewski says he thinks it’s important for people to come out and get to know their police department and other public safety organizations while having some old-fashioned fun.
