Montco Swine Flu Clinics
Children 5 to 9 years old and pregnant women can get free shots for H1 N1 Influenza, commonly known as the Swine Flu, Thursday and Friday at Montgomery County Health Department clinics. Health Department Communicable Disease Specialist Michael Baysinger says most county school districts will also get the vaccine.
“I have been told by the state department of health that the school districts that did register, that filled out provider agreements and became certified, that they get their priority as soon as the vaccine comes in, so the school districts have been marked as a priority group to get the vaccine for their students.”
Baysinger says the county clinics are for students who will not get shots at school and pregnant women who will not get them from private health care providers. The clinic locations are Congregation Beth Or in Maple Glen Thursday and the Fairview Village Church of the Nazarene Friday, the hours at both locations are 10:00am to 1:00pm, and the health department asks people not to arrive early.
