Halladay To Start All-Star Game

Phillies right-hander Roy Halladay has been selected to start tomorrow nights All-Star Game in Arizona. Halladay is 11-3 this season with a 2:45 ERA. He also has thrown six complete games. This is the second time Halladay has started an All-Star contest. His first time was in 2009 as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays. He gave up three runs in that game. Last season, his first as a Phillie, he pitched 2/3 of an inning  giving up two hits while striking out one in a National League win. This is his eighth All-Star Game selection. The Phillies are a league best 57-34 at the break.
