Blazers Use 10 Innings To Beat Jersey
Scott Kalamar's single in the bottom of the 10th inning scored pinch runner Robbie Zinsmeister to give the Quakertown Blazers an 8-7 win over the Jersey Pilots on Wednesday night.
The win also gave the Blazers a one game to none lead in the best-of-five Wolff Division championship series. The Blazers have won 11 of their last 13 games including a two game sweep over the Pilots to end the regular season. The series continues Friday in Jersey with a double-header that gets underway at 3pm.In Perky league play, Norristown goes for their first league title since 2007 on Friday night when they take on Collegeville at Hostelley Field. Game time is secheduled for 7:30pm. Norristown leads the best-of-five series 2-1.
