Pennsylvania education officials are changing the standardized achievement tests they use to measure high school student progress.

Methacton School Board Approves Raises for Administrators

The chief administrator of the Methacton School District has been awarded a 2% raise.   Superintendent Timothy Quinn will earn just under $175,000 for the current school year.   The school board also approved an agreement with the rest of the district administrative staff that includes 2% salary increases over each of the next three years.   In addition, the school board approved a change of status for district Director of Labor Relations and Human Resources Robert Harney.   His new title is Assistant to the Superintendent for Personnel.   The change includes an additional yearly stipend of $14,000.
   

Shooter Drill Held At Bucks Co School

State and local police held an “active shooter” emergency drill Monday at Palisades High School in Upper Bucks County.

SASD Fees Raised

The Souderton Area School Board has approved some increased fees effective with the fall semester, which started Monday.
