The Souderton Area School Board has approved some increased fees effective with the fall semester, which started Monday.

The high school parking fee has doubled, from $50 to $100, and the activities fee has gone up from $100 to $150.

Middle and high school students pay the activities fee once a year for sports and clubs no matter how many teams or clubs they join, but students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches do not have to pay it, and it is not charged for service clubs, such as the Key Club and Student Council, or for-credit classes such as band and chorus.
