MCCC Budget Hikes Tuition

mcccThe Montgomery County Community College Trustees have approved a budget that calls for more than $72 million in spending and a tuition hike of $9 per credit hour for county residents in the new school year. The budget follows a cut of more than $5 million in the county contribution to the college.  With the increase, students will pay for more than 55 percent of the operating budget, compared to only 36 percent ten years ago, and the county contribution has fallen to less than 20 percent.
