SAHS Gym Floor Buckling Again

The gymnasium floor at the new Souderton Area High School in Franconia has buckled for the second time since the building opened two years ago. Officials are not sure what is causing the buckling, but Superintendent of Schools Frederick Johnson says they have called every expert they know to get to the source and solve the problem.  In August of last year the floor in the main gym buckled along its entire length, but this year’s buckling is in a smaller area.  Heavy-duty dehumidifiers are in service to eliminate excess moisture, and the gym should be ready for classes and other activities when the school opens August 29.
