Souderton Area School District fall semester classes start Monday, August 29. It’s the first time in a few years that classes have started before Labor Day, although a number of other districts have gone to the earlier start.  Souderton Area Superintendent of Schools Frederick Johnson says it will save about $28,000 in transportation costs because the schedule will line up with the Penn View Christian School and Christopher Dock Mennonite High School schedules.  Public school districts provide busing for children attending private schools.
