NP Teachers Delay Wage Freeze Vote
North Penn Teachers have delayed a vote on a school board request for a six-month wage freeze.
Union leaders approved delaying the vote, which had been set for Thursday, without setting a new date. Union President Alan Malachowski says they need more information before putting it up for a vote, especially about what happens if they vote “no.” The board asked for the wage freeze as part of its effort to balance the budget for the 2011-2012 school year. A vote on the budget is set for Thursday, June 23.
