Pennridge teachers have accepted an arbitration panel’s contract recommendations.
Union members voted overwhelmingly for the deal, and the school board votes on it Monday, June 13. If board members accept it, the arbitration report becomes the new contract between the board and the Pennridge Education Association. Neither side is releasing details, but they call it a compromise between what each side wanted. The school board had been offering a four-year deal with a pay freeze in the first year and raises of about 1 1/2 percent in each of the last three years. The union wanted a five-year deal with pay raises of about 2 1/2 percent per year.
