CB Budget Cuts 120 Jobs

wnpv_schoolsThe Central Bucks School Board is looking at balancing its budget by eliminating 120 jobs. They include about 50 teachers, 27 support staff, 6 administrators and 37 bus drivers.  The district should save about $4 million in wages and $1 million in benefits.  About half of the jobs are being eliminated through attrition and the other half through layoffs, including the bus drivers, who are being contracted out to First Student.  The district will pay the private company for bus service, but it will not have to pay for health insurance or pensions.
