Hatboro-Horsham teachers have a contract.
The school board ratified the four-year deal Monday night, and teachers’ union members ratified it earlier in the day. It’s retroactive to the 2009-2010 school year, and it continues through the 2012-2013 school year. It freezes their pay in one year and gives them raises averaging about 2.5 percent in the other three years. They are also getting step increases based on experience and advanced education. Their contributions to health insurance premiums are increasing, and by the end of the contract they will be paying between 10 and 22 percent, depending on the plan they choose.
