The New Hope-Solebury School Board in Bucks County has approved a new contract with the teachers’ union, which approved it earlier. It gives the teachers a 1.5 percent pay raise in the first year of a three-year deal and 2 percent in each of the last two years.  It also requires teachers to pay a bigger share of their health insurance premiums, and it ends healthcare coverage for retired teachers.  Those who retired before the end of last year still get coverage for seven years.
