NP Tables High Potential Course Compromise
The North Penn School Board has tabled a plan to combine certain honors and “High Potential” middle school courses and drop others.
They cover the major subjects including English, math, science and social studies. The idea was to comply with federal “no child left behind” guidelines and show that all students were making progress. Parents who attended Thursday night’s school board meeting complained that the plan would sacrifice students with the highest learning potential.
