Wissahickon Robotics Team Wins National Competition
A Wissahickon High School robotics team has won the biggest student robotics competition in the nation, going up against 340 other teams.
The first-place team members are Jennifer Herchek, Ryan Morris and Gina Triolo of Blue Bell and Evan and Emily Ostrow of Penllyn. They built their robot “Miss Daisy” from a kit containing hundreds of parts. They were in Washington Monday attending the White House Science Fair, where President Obama congratulated them along with winners in several other categories. The students laughed when the president said, “I never miss a chance to see cool robots when I get a chance.”
