Mommy Market
Business was brisk Saturday for the Mommy Market at Gwyn-Nor Elementary School in Upper Gwynedd.
Co-Chair Leslie DiNapoli of North Wales says it’s mostly moms selling things their own kids used, and it’s better than eBay.“It’s kind of what’s sitting in your basement, and your options are to donate it or sell something and maybe be able to use it toward your vacation or Christmas fund. eBay is good but you still have all the shipping costs and you have to make sure the person actually pays for it. Well, right here it’s all cash.”
DiNapoli Says Gwyn-Nor has two Mommy Markets per year, one in October and one in April, and the Home and School Association benefits by selling spaces for tables, as well as soft pretzels and bottled water. She says the Upper Gwynedd Volunteer Fire Company has another Mommy Market this coming Saturday, and North Wales Elementary School has one a week from Saturday.
