Lansdale Borough Council is advertising an ordinance that would reduce the number of electric service classifications.

Councilman Dan Dunigan says the goal is to simplify the bills.

“What we’re looking to do is to make it so that when you get your bill as a resident or business owner you will find it easier to figure out.”

He says the bills can be confusing, especially for businesses.  While the streamlining process would be revenue neutral, he says some customers could end up paying a little more while others could pay a little less.
