The Montgomery County Commissioners have approved a contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections to house state inmates at the County Prison in Eagleville. It has been under capacity since a new minimum-security building opened last year.  The state inmates would enter the county work-release program, subject to screening by both state and county officials, at a cost to the state of $65 per day.
