The Hilltown Township Supervisors have given preliminary approval to plans for 57 homes on 88 acres along Green Street, just outside of Silverdale. The development, known as Hilltown Walk, is similar to one that was approved in 2006 but never built because of the housing market crash.  The developer plans to preserve 60 acres as open space with a trail connecting it to other open space in the township and Al Reese Park in Silverdale.
