Bucks Co Budget Raises Taxes
The Bucks County Commissioners have approved a budget that calls for nearly $462 million in spending and a hiring freeze next year.
They also plan to leave about 120 positions vacant where vacancies exist now and leave another 100 or so vacant as people resign or retire. The budget keeps the current level of spending for libraries and the community college, and it raises the average homeowner’s property tax bill by about $45. It’s Bucks County’s first tax hike in six years.
