Bucks Co Officials In Corruption Case Forfeit Pensions
The Bucks County Retirement Board has voted to forfeit the pensions of former Register of Wills Barbara Reilly and her top administrator, Rebecca Keifer.
It means they will get what they paid into the plan, but no interest or county contribution. Both pleaded guilty in a political corruption case. Reilly, a 76 year old Bensalem resident, admitted illegally paying employees “under the table” with comp time in return for their work at the polls on Election Day. In effect they were using taxpayer dollars to do political work. She also admitted tampering with records by having her staff shred hundreds of pages of documents including payroll records.
