New Wawa Coming To Rt 309
The Hatfield Township Commissioners have approved plans for a new Wawa store, on a 1 ½ acre abandoned gas station site at Route 309 And Unionville Pike.
It will have six gas pumps and 4,000 square foot convenience store, somewhat smaller than a Wawa Superstore that opened about a year ago on the opposite side of the township at Hatfield Pointe, a shopping center across Forty Foot Road from Ralph’s Corner. As part of the Route 309 Project, Wawa will pay for about $137,000 worth of intersection improvements, including a new turning lane and an upgraded signal. Construction should start early next year, and it could open in the summer.
