All men and women working on the new Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown will be legal U.S. residents. Under a resolution the county commissioners passed Wednesday, workers on the job site will be certified through the Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program.  They’ll be required to wear county-issued identification badges and hardhat stickers at all times.  E-Verify is a free service that lets employers confirm that their workers are not illegal immigrants.  The federal government requires its use for companies working on federal contracts, but Pennsylvania does not require it for companies working on state and local government contracts.  Construction on the new Bucks County Courthouse, also known as a justice center, starts later this month.
