Lansdale Borough Council was planning to vote on an ordinance reducing the speed limit from 35 to 25 miles per hour on West Eighth Street, but the lower limit was already in place. Councilman Mike Sobel says the signs never went up, but that will happen soon.

“It should be within two or three weeks, a month maybe, depending on the weather.  Obviously with snow banks like this they can’t get in to put the signs up.”

Police Chief Bob McDyre did some research and found that council approved the lower speed limit nearly ten years ago, but somehow no one got around to posting the signs.
