Hatfield Budget Raises Taxes

dollarThe Hatfield Township Commissioners have approved a budget that calls for $10.5 million in spending and a real estate tax hike next year. The average homeowner will pay about $79 more.  The compromise agreement came after the commissioners met for more than eleven hours Wednesday.  The budget cuts spending in several areas, including parks and recreation, but keeps the Homestead Exemption.  It does not include a business license fee that was proposed earlier this year.
