W Norriton Budget Calls For Tax Hike

dollarThe West Norriton Township Commissioners have approved a preliminary budget that calls for more than $11.4 million in spending and a real estate tax increase. The average homeowner will pay about $59 more.  The police will get their four-percent contractual pay raises, other employees will get no pay raises, and two or three township employees will be laid off.  No police officer layoffs are proposed, but the department could lose someone on its support staff.
