Norristown Facing Big Tax Hike
Norristown’s Council is looking at a budget that calls for more than $25.7 million in spending and a real estate tax hike of more than 16 percent.
The average homeowner’s tax bill would go up by about $166. It also raises the cost of a parking ticket by $10 and cuts spending by not filling four vacant police positions. More cuts could be made before council approves a final budget in December.
