Torsella Nominated For U.N. Post

wnpv_politicsPresident Obama has nominated long-time Montgomery County resident Joe Torsella for a high-ranking position at the United Nations. If the Senate confirms the nomination, he will become the U.S. Representative for U.N. Management and Reform.  Torsella served twice as President of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, and he also ran for the 13th District congressional seat in 2004, losing in the Democratic primary election to Allyson Schwartz, who was recently elected to a fourth term.
