PA Pension Reform Passes

dollarsThe Pennsylvania House of Representatives has passed a bill aimed at slowing the skyrocketing cost of pensions for state and public school employees, including teachers. It calls for spreading payments into the plans over more years, boosting the retirement age for future employees and giving them the option of paying more into their plans or getting reduced benefits.  The bill received senate approval earlier, and it goes to Governor Ed Rendell for his signature.
