N Wales Station Re-Dedicated
“This is transportation-oriented economic development, quality of life, helping the improvement of downtowns in areas across Montgomery County. We see it here and we see it in Lansdale, Ambler and Jenkintown, and we’re excited about it everywhere because these are great communities to live in, to work in, and even to commute in, and to sit in a station that is warm and comfortable and covered is really quite wonderful.”
SEPTA General Manager Joe Casey said the North Wales Station has been restored to the way historical experts believe it looked when it opened in 1873, with an exposed brick exterior. The station serves about 1,600 passengers a day on the Lansdale-Doylestown Regional Rail Line.
