Hatboro Eyes Anti-Discrimination Ordinance
Borough Council is considering an ordinance that would ban discrimination against gay men and lesbian women.
A human relations commission would enforce it. Council member Nancy Guenst says the state has laws against discrimination based on race, age and religion, but not sexual orientation, so she wants to ban it locally, as Doylestown has done. She says it would re-assure people living and working in Hatboro that everyone is welcome.
