Bucks Co Garage Dedicated
Bucks County’s new parking garage, near the courthouse in Doylestown, was dedicated Wednesday.
It has 1,200 spaces, and it’s the first part of a new justice center complex that will replace the current courthouse, which is outdated and overcrowded. The old courthouse, dating back to the 1960’s, will remain in use as a county office building. The next step is tearing down the old 900-space parking garage, along Broad Street between Main and Union, where the new $100 million justice center will eventually stand. The $22 million garage took two years to build, and it came in on time and under budget.
