Accused Baby Killer Pleads Not Guilty
An Upper Merion man accused of killing a baby girl and her grandmother in King of Prussia last October has pleaded not guilty to all charges. 27-year-old Raghunandan Yandamuri is charged with first degree murder and other offenses. Authorities say he tried to kidnap 10-month-old Saanvi Venna and killed 61-year-old Satayvathi Venna when she tried to protect her granddaughter. The little girl was allegedly then suffocated and her body hidden in the basement in the Marquis Apartment building in King of Prussia. Yandamuri faces the death penalty if convicted.
Souderton Man Admits To Sex With Minor
A SOUDERTON MAN, 22-YEAR-OLD ROBERT THOMPSON, IS SENTENCED TO 11-AND-A-HALF TO 23 MONTH IN PRISON AFTER HE TOLD THE COURT THAT HE HAD ENGAGAED IN SEX WITH A 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL WHO WAS BABYSITTING HIS DAUGHTERS. COURT RECORDS SHOW THE INCIDENTS HAPPENED IN 2012. THOMPSON IS ALSO ORDERED TO COMPLETE FOUR YEARS OF PROBATION. SOUDERTON POLICE WERE NOTIFIED BY THE GIRLS MOTHER WHO SAW TEXT MESSAGES ON HER DAUGHTERS CELL PHONE ABOUT THE SEXUAL ACTIVITY BETWEEN THOMPSON AND HER DAUGHTER. POLICE SAY THOMPSON ENEGAGED IN SEXUAL ACTIVITY WITH THE TEEN IN JUNE AND JULY OF 2012.
