Operation Weed Whacker: Marajuana Worth Millions Confiscated

District Attorneys from Montgomery, Bucks, Deaware Counties, along with
Philadelphia announce a major drug bust in connection with "Operation Weed Whacker"
8 men are under arrest and nearly 37-hundred pounds of marajuana with a
street value of almost 15-million dollars is off the streets. The investigation
started in September, when large amounts of marajuana was being sold in Whitpain Township Wiretaps helped police determine that marajuana was being hauled from
California to Pennsylvania. Delaware County was one of the main drop off
points. The defendants are behind bars after failing to post high bail.

 

Parents Make Emotional Plea To Their Missing Son.

The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a college student from Skippack continues. 21-year-old, Matthew Royer, after a few sightings, has seemingly vanished on his way home from the University of Rhode Island. Police say he left the campus on Thursday at 6:30. He was seen by video at a Sunoco on routes-78 and 100, just after 2am Friday. Since then, the trail to locate Royer has gone cold. Royer’s parents held a news conference Monday afternoon at the State Police Barracks in Skippack, pleading for their son to call home, if he can. Royer is a white male, brown hair, brow eyes, 6-1, 160 pounds. He was driving a silver Chevy Cobalt with a license plate tag of GZR-9059. Anyone with information is urged to call State Police.

   

Undercover Tactics Used to Arrest Lansdale Man in Drug Deal

Lansdale Borough Police continues its efforts in getting drugs off the streets. A 22-year-old man is the latest alleged drug dealer to be caught in Borough’s dragnet, which is a part of the Montgomery County Drug Task Force.Police say, Trevis Reynolds was selling Percocet pills and other prescription medication. Detectives set-up an undercover buy on April 30th in a parking lot on West 2nd Street where Reynolds sold undercover officers Klonopin, used for the treatment of anxiety. Reynolds is being held at the Montgomery County Jail after failing to post bail. He faces a preliminary hearing Thursday.

 

Out of Control Car Smashes Parked Car, Hiting Home's Gas Meter

The Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company was called to the first block of
West Vine Street late Tuesday afternoon when a driver lost control of his
car and hit a gold Taurus, which was parked next to a home. The impact
pushed the Taurus against the home's gas meter. According to officials,
the parked Taurus blocked the car from crahsing into the home.
One witness reportedly heard the driver say he fell asleep behind
the wheel. The driver of the car was taken to Abington Health Lansdale Hosital to be
treated for unknown injuries. Fire officials closed some streets near
the scene of the crash until the incident was deemed to be under control.
