Montgomery County Detectives and Limerick Township Police are investigating a crash that killed a jogger.

It happened Monday afternoon on Lewis Road in Limerick.

Investigators say 40-year-old mother of two Merinda Thompson was jogging northbound on the southbound shoulder when a southbound car driven by an 18-year-old man crossed over onto the wrong side of the road and hit her.

Police took his cell phone to see if he was texting behind the wheel.
