Gingerbread Man Caught
A man suspected of selling drugs in the North Penn area has been arrested.
21-year-old Mark Gross Junior, whose last known address was on Stoneham Circle In Hatfield Township, was named last week in a news release asking the public for help in locating him.
On that same day he posted a message on a social media website taunting police by saying, “Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread Man.”
On Monday, February 25, Lansdale Police conducting surveillance saw him in a Ford hatchback parked in a West Main Street apartment complex parking lot.
When they approached the car he fled on foot, throwing away four bags of suspected heroin.
Lansdale police say they bought cocaine and Xanax from him last October using an undercover informant, and he is charged with possession with intent to deliver and other offenses for that.
He faces an additional charge of flight to avoid apprehension in connection with the Monday incident.
