City Man Convicted In Teen Rape Case
At a non-jury trial, Montgomery County Judge Gary Silow found 25-year-old Markley Charles guilty of rape and other offenses in the incident in February of 2012 at the Blair Mill Village East Apartments.
Prosecutors said he took advantage of her youth and intoxication for his own sexual gain.
The Pennsylvania Sexual Offender Assessment Board will determine whether he meets the criteria to be declared a Sexually Violent Predator under Megan’s Law. If he is he would have to report his address to state police for the rest of his life once he is released from prison.
