A Norristown man has been convicted of killing a 16-year-old girl in July of last year near her home.

A Montgomery County jury found 20-year-old Brandon Pierce of Arch Street guilty of first degree murder in the death of Dominique Devlin.

She was shot several times in an alley behind a DeKalb Street home.  She ran less than a block from there to Green and East Basin Streets, where she collapsed.

Authorities say Pierce was Devlin’s former boyfriend, and he killed her because he thought she had set him up for a home-invasion robbery about two weeks before the murder.  He faces life in prison without parole.
