A South Jersey man is accused of leaving a baby alone in his car while he played blackjack at Parx Casino in Bucks County. Pennsylvania State Police on casino duty responded Wednesday afternoon to a report of a baby alone in a car, and they found one in a Toyota Corolla with New Jersey plates.

Court documents say Shannon Fenton of Brant Beach returned about 15 minutes later, after police had removed his 14-month old daughter from the car.  At first he said he went into the casino on Street Road in Bensalem only to use the rest room, but later he admitted he was gambling.

He said he arrived at the casino door with his daughter, but they turned him away because children are not allowed inside.  So he took her back to the car, strapped in her seat and went inside to play numerous hands of blackjack.  

On Thursday, his 27th birthday, he was in Bucks County Prison unable to raise ten percent of $50,000 bail.
