Freak Accident On Turnpike Kills Newspaper Editor

The editor of the Souderton Independent and Perkasie News Herald newspapers was fatally injured Sunday afternoon, April 15, when a road sign flew into her car on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lancaster County. 31-year-old Emily Morris of Norristown died Monday in a hospital.  Pennsylvania State Police say a box truck in the opposing travel lanes hit a construction sign, sending it flying over the median barrier and through her windshield.
