A truck driver from New York City, accused of killing a Bucks County man early last year by causing a collision on Route 309 in Hatfield Township, is heading for a non-jury trial in Montgomery County Court. 42-year-old Ernest Cohens of the Bronx turned down an undisclosed plea agreement offer.  He is charged with homicide by vehicle, recklessly endangering another person and numerous motor vehicle violations, including driving while his license was suspended.

Court documents say the collision occurred at about 6:00am February 3, 2011 while he was trying to make a u-turn with his tractor-trailer across all travel lanes on Route 309 at Sterling Drive.  His truck collided with a motorcycle driven by 55-year-old Terry Kriebel of Sellersville, who was killed.  The trailer was blocking his lane of travel when he ran into it, unable to stop.
