District Judge Wants Jury To Decide Corporal Punishment Case
At a recent preliminary hearing the girl said her father hit her on the arm, leg and buttocks with the plastic bat. His lawyer said he was within his rights under state law, which permits corporal punishment unless the person administering it goes too far. Prosecutors say he did go too far. A Magisterial District Judge ruled that a jury should decide whether he went too far, and the case moves closer to trial in Bucks County Court.
