A Norristown man is accused of sexually assaulting a two-year-old girl he was babysitting. 56-year-old Gary Romano of Calamia Drive is charged with indecent assault and other offenses.  He advertised his babysitting service on the internet, and people hired him even though he identified himself only as Gary “R.”  He pleaded guilty in December to possessing child pornography, but that did not come up in a background check provided through the website where he advertised.  Court documents say he admitted taking pictures of the molestation incident in the fall of 2009 and sharing the images with another pedophile on the internet.
