Pension Stays Frozen In Stolen Sick Time Case

A Montgomery County judge has ruled that prosecutors can continue freezing the state retirement account of a former Graterford State Prison guard accused of faking serious illness to steal sick time. 35-year-old Samantha Sinkler of Collegeville is charged with 30 criminal counts for allegedly forging letters from doctors saying she was under treatment for cancer.  Prosecutors say she used the phony notes to get extra sick time from the state and from co-workers who donated their sick time to her, and freezing her pension means the victims will get paid back is she is convicted.  Prosecutors say they were defrauded out of more than $10,000, and they are still uncovering more victims.
