A Delaware County man is suspected of driving drunk when he ran his car into a Chester County house early Thursday morning. 22-year-old Sean O’Neill of Glen Mills lost control of his Cadillac, went down a hill, hit two cars and crashed into the garage attached to a home on Westtown Road in West Goshen Township.  Police say he failed field sobriety tests, blood was taken for testing, and he has been in alcohol-related trouble before.  He accidentally shot and killed Cardinal O’Hara High School classmate Scott Sheridan at an underage drinking party five years ago, he was adjudicated in juvenile court and sent to rehab programs for that, and his family’s problems with alcohol do not stop there.

His younger sister, Fiona O’Neill, was cited for underage drinking two years ago and his older sister, Roisin O’Neill, was arrested three years ago after a high-speed ride up the wrong side of Interstate 476 in Plymouth Township.  It ended with a crash that seriously injured her and killed 63-year-old Patricia Waggoner, who was traveling from her Massachusetts home to visit her son and grandchildren in media.  Roisin O’Neill’s blood alcohol level was about 2 1/2 times the legal limit for driving.  She pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and recklessly endangering other people.  She is 26 years old now and serving five to ten years in state prison.
