A Skippack man who admitted allowing an underage drinking party at his home, and spent a few days in jail for it, now faces a civil lawsuit seeking more than $50,000 in damages.
The suit says 46-year-old Thane Tagg of Mountain Laurel Circle engaged in reckless and outrageous behavior. He pleaded guilty to furnishing alcohol to minors, even though he did not actually supply it. Prosecutors said his crime was looking the other way while his son’s friends brought beer and liquor into the house on Halloween night of 2009. 19-year-old party guest Colby Davis pleaded guilty to indecent assault earlier this year for groping a girl in the backyard of the Tagg home during the party, where they got drunk. They were both 17 at the time, and he spent six months in jail for his crime. The girl is suing both Tagg and Davis, saying she suffered physical and psychological damage.
