Woman Gets State Prison Time For Stabbing Ex-Boyfriend

A Lansdale woman who admitted stabbing her former boyfriend in the chest early last year has been given five to ten years in state prison. 24-year-old Janet Thornburg of Pine Street pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault.  The stabbing happened in April of last year at the Third and Walnut Bar, and she was arrested a short distance away at the time of the incident.  The 25-year-old victim, who lives in Lansdale, was taken to Lansdale Hospital for treatment.  Investigators found that Thornburg had argued with the victim inside the bar about money he owed her, and she had been drinking and using drugs prior to the stabbing.
