Former Ambulance Official Waives Hearing In Drug Theft Case

A Norristown man accused of stealing drugs from an ambulance squad is heading for trial. 37-year-old Dominic Venezia has waived his preliminary hearing. He was Assistant Chief at Plymouth Ambulance, and police say a hidden camera caught him stealing morphine from a cabinet in his locked office.  Prosecutors say he has a drug problem, he stole them for his own use, and there is no evidence that he was selling them.
